REED HANKS, DVM, OWNER
Dr. Reed Hanks was raised on a ranch in Deer Trail, CO. He graduated from Deer Trail High School and enrolled at Colorado State University. Dr. Hanks attained a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences in 1988 and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. Dr. Hanks joined the Strasburg Veterinary Clinic in 1992. After practicing on the corridor for 23 years, Dr. Hanks and his wife, Tonya, purchased the practice in July of 2015. Dr. Hanks manages the clinic and continues to practice full time. Reed has been around animals his entire life and enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine. Dr. Hanks is very experienced with cattle, horses, dogs, and cats. He enjoys surgery and the diversity that comes with working in a rural setting. Reed and Tonya have two grown children, Roice and Kaitlyn. Both are college students and help out at the clinic and on the ranch when they are home. In his spare time, Reed enjoys spending time at his ranch, hanging out with his 2 dogs, and watching sports. He has always enjoyed woodworking, welding, and loves to build things.
JODIE VETTER, DVM
Dr. Jodie Vetter is a 2002 graduate of Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Jodie has worked as a veterinarian on the eastern I-70 corridor since 2004. She began working for Strasburg Veterinary Clinic in 2007. Dr. Vetter lives in Bennett with her husband Greg, son David and daughter Anna. She and her family spend much of their spare time devoted to the 4-H and livestock show lifestyle they love! They also enjoy spending quality time at home with their many animals including horses, dogs, and cats.
ALISON BUSH, DVM
Dr. Ali Bush grew up in Connecticut, where her passion for animals and veterinary medicine developed at a young age while volunteering at the local animal hospital. She received her Bachelors of Science degrees in Pathobiology and Animal Science from the University of Connecticut, and is a recent veterinary graduate from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. She enjoys working with all livestock and horses, as well as dogs and cats. Dr. Ali is Beef Quality Assurance certified, and received additional education in alpaca and llama medicine from the North American Camelid Studies Program. In addition, Dr. Ali is passionate about international veterinary medicine, and has worked in South Africa, Italy, Peru, and Mexico exploring the field. When she’s not at work, Dr. Ali spends her time with her boyfriend and their two rescue dogs, Trixie and Corazón. She enjoys fishing, snowboarding, and traveling.
MARY CLARKE WORTHINGTON, DVM
Dr. Mary Clarke (“MC”) Worthington was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. She attended the local North Carolina State University, earning bachelor’s degrees in Animal Science and Spanish Language/Literature, and staying in the area for veterinary school at NC State, as well. While in school, she worked at local small animal clinics and in NC State’s large animal hospital and was actively involved in the bovine, small ruminant, and theriogenology clubs. Dr. Worthington enjoys working with all mammals, but has a special passion for foals, hounds, and old grumpy cats. Outside of work, Dr. Worthington enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, fishing, and traveling.
MIKAYLA BONNETT, B.V.M.S
Dr. Mikayla Bonnett was born and raised in Washington State. Growing up she enjoyed helping her family raise Great Pyrenees and took any opportunity to be around all animals. She received a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from Pace University in New York City. During her time in New York, she worked at a small animal clinic as an assistant. She then moved to Scotland and attended the University of Glasgow where she received her B.V.M.S. degree in Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2022. In her spare time, Mikayla enjoys concerts, hiking, camping, and traveling.
W. PRESTON STUBBS, DVM, DACVS
BOARD CERTIFIED SURGEON
Dr. W. Preston Stubbs is a veterinary surgeon, board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, and a partner of Strasburg Veterinary Clinic. A graduate of George Mason University (B.S. in biological sciences) and Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.), Dr. Stubbs has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 20 years and has been practicing in the Denver metro area since 2000.
Dr. Stubbs is board certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. He has held positions in academic and large private referral practice settings. Dr. Stubbs started Mile High Veterinary Surgical Specialists, a mobile surgical service, in late 2012. He has published numerous articles in refereed journals and has authored several book chapters. Dr. Stubbs has presented many scientific lectures and continuing education presentations both nationally and abroad. He was also featured in the Animal Planet network’s Emergency Vets and ER Vets: Interns television programs. An avid musician/luthier, fly fisherman, and wine enthusiast, he and his wife Laura have 5 children and enjoy life in Denver, Colorado.
SAVANNAH KENNEDY, DVM
Dr. Savannah Kennedy grew up in west Texas and Arizona. Her time in west Texas sparked her passion for animals big and small and when she moved, she spent all her free-time in Arizona working at horse barns for riding lessons. She grew up riding horses in both western and english style, and went to Colorado State University to receive a Bachelors in Equine Science. She had the great pleasure of continuing her veterinary education at Colorado State University and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. During undergrad and vet school, Dr. Kennedy worked at Colorado State University’s Equine Reproduction Laboratory. Dr. Kennedy has a great passion for animal reproduction of all species, but has vast experience working in equine reproduction. Dr. Kennedy also has a great interest in wildlife medicine, shelter medicine with community outreach, and surgery. There are so many aspects of veterinary medicine to love! On her free-time, Dr. Kennedy enjoys riding horses, hiking with her dogs, relaxing on the couch with her cats, and traveling all over the world with her partner, Riley.

BETH WEISENSEE, RVT
Beth completed her Veterinary Technician training at Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington in 2008 followed by an internship, then employment with Strasburg Veterinary Clinic in 2009. She is a Colorado native and grew up on a farm and ranch near Deer Trail. She loves working in this rural community and appreciates the variety that comes with working in a mixed animal practice. When not working, she enjoys nature photography. Beth likes to travel and go hiking as well as spend time with her family, especially her three nieces. She appreciates working with all species of animals, but livestock is her favorite! Beth enjoys her own small herd of cows as well as helping her family raise wheat, cattle, and sheep.
SYDNEY PISTRUI, RVT
Sydney has been with Strasburg Veterinary Clinic since May of 2015. She was born and raised in Maryland and moved to Colorado in 2011. She is a graduate of Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology. Sydney enjoys riding horses and spending time with her 4-legged children (Spirit, Skye, Sage, Stretch and Squirt) and her husband Steve.
HALEY HOLLOWAY, RVT
Haley is a Colorado Native from Bennett. Having grown up around animals both large and small, she has always had a love and passion for helping them. Her love of animals eventually led her to pursue a career as a Veterinary Technician. Haley graduated from Bel-Rae Institute with her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology in December 2019. After completing her internship at Strasburg Veterinary Clinic, she joined our team that November. In her free time, Haley enjoys being in the outdoors, horseback riding, watching sports and spending time with family, friends, and her pets.
KRYSTINA SHACKELFORD, RVT
Krystina moved from California to Colorado with her family in 2011. She graduated from Bel-Rea Institute and became a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2013 and a Certified Canine Massage Therapist in 2019.
She lives with her husband, two sons, two dogs, and two cats here in Strasburg.
In her downtime, she enjoys camping, fishing, shooting, and BBQing with her friends and family.
JORDAN McCLURE
Jordan is a Colorado native from Keenesburg. In 2021, she graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology. Shortly after interning at Strasburg Veterinary Clinic, she joined our team in April. Jordan has always been compassionate about helping animals and knew from a very young age she wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. In her free time, she loves to go on hikes with her two dogs, paddle boarding, working out and hanging out with family and friends.

MONSE ALVAREZ, RVT
Monse was born and raised in Denver, CO. She has always known she wanted to work with animals from a young age, from helping out strays in Mexico to getting her first job as a kennel tech. Monse graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in March of 2023 after an internship at Strasburg Veterinary Clinic. Monse enjoys organizing and interior decorating as well as exploring nature with her furbaby as often as she can.
ROSIE MUNRO, RVT
Rosie grew up in a remote town of Western Australia, surrounded by small and large animals, and completed middle and high school in Brisbane, Australia. She came to the US to attend college at Indiana University and competed on the women’s rowing team during her time there. After graduating in 2021, she applied to Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology and moved to Denver to become a Veterinary Technician. After completing her internship at Strasburg Veterinary Clinic and graduating in June of 2023, she stayed on as a member of the team. In her spare time, Rosie enjoys hiking, music, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
JORDYN STEINMARK, PVT
Jordyn is a Colorado native who has aspired to work with animals since the young age of 5. After graduating from high school, she attended PIMA Medical Institute where she graduated with honors and received her CVA. Jordyn is currently working towards her RVT. She resides in Watkins with her adorable little boy, 5 dogs, and 36 fish. In her free time, she enjoys watching True Crime, baking sweet treats, and fishing with her son.

Sydney is a Colorado native who was raised here in Strasburg. As a youngster, she dreamed of working in the nursery at the zoo. After high school Sydney continued her education at CSU and is now attending Penn Foster where she is on track to receive her RVT degree. In her free time, she enjoys reading, motocross racing, and hiking along with spending time with her fiancé, three dogs, three cats, and an entourage of farm animals. Rosie Munro, RVT

SARAH TOWNSEND, RVT
Sarah is a Colorado native that grew up in nearby Watkins. She grew up raising many livestock and pets including cattle, pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, dogs, cats, and rabbits. Pigs were always her favorite and sparked her interest in the veterinary field and caring for ill/injured animals. After graduating from Bennett High School, Sarah continued her education at Bel Rea Vet Technician College. Sarah worked as an assistant while in school and joined Strasburg Vet Clinic full time after graduating in September 2023. In her free time, Sarah enjoys hiking, shooting shotguns, and spending time with her husband, Greg, and two dogs, Daisy and Josie.

TRACY PEREZ
Tracy is a Colorado native. She joined Strasburg Veterinary Clinic in 2006. Tracy has a contagious smile and makes everyone feel comfortable when they arrive at our clinic. She enjoys spending time with her family & friends, caring for her animals, and collecting antiques.
NICOLE AVERY
Niki has been with the Strasburg Veterinary Clinic since she began as a volunteer technician while in high school. A native of Byers, Niki grew up helping her grandparents and parents raise greyhounds at Brumage Kennels. After graduating from Byers High School, Niki took a brief leave of absence to earn her Associates of Applied Science and start a family. Niki returned to work at the clinic as a receptionist in September of 2014. A very busy mom of three, Niki also takes care of 4 dogs, a herd of goats, and a few cows.
BRENDA REDGATE
Brenda joined the Strasburg Veterinary team in 2018. She has worked as a technician and receptionist since she was a teenager. She loves being outside walking her dogs, working in the garden or going on adventures with her three grandkids.
TANESHA BOLES
Tanesha is a Colorado native. Tanesha grew up with a host of animals creating in her a sense of joy and responsibility. Her love for nature and animals has continued to grow and that brought her to our team in August of 2020. She brings with her years of experience in office management. You may see her assisting clients up front or in the back assisting with animals. Tanesha’s hobbies are hiking, traveling, interior design, and health & nutrition.
DESTINY GONZALEZ
Destiny was born in Texas and has lived in Colorado for the past 14 years. She has always loved cats and has one cat and one dog. Outside of work, Destiny loves to spend time with her friends and family, going shopping, and watching movies.
HAYLEY MORRIS
Hayley was born and raised in Strasburg. She met her husband and they moved to Kansas for a year, but returned to Strasburg where they make their home with their sweet baby. Hayley loves spending time with her family and her fur baby.
SKYLER LETTIERI
Skyler joined Strasburg Veterinary Clinic in September of 2023. Her family relocated to Bennett, CO in October of 2021. She is a country girl at heart, having been born and raised in a small town in Ohio. She was a member of 4-H club for 9 years and volunteered at a local veterinary clinic while in High School to satisfy her love for animals. Skyler is a dedicated and professional management expert, experienced with leadership, organization, and business operation. She has held a management position for over 10 years and developed extensive decision-making and communication skills while leading a team of 35 professionals. With a background in sales, customer service, and pharmaceuticals, she has experience overseeing operational statistics to make improvements and encourage higher efficiency among all staff. In her spare time, she loves to spend family time with Hubby Steven and their pets Mylo, Yankee, and Stella. Their main activities include hiking, skiing, gardening and traveling the world.
