Jodie Vetter DVM

Dr. Jodie is a 2002 graduate of Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. After receiving her degree, she was employed as an associate veterinarian by Peak View Animal Hospital in Fowler, Colorado. Jodie loved working as a rural mixed animal veterinarian in the Arkansas Valley. In 2004, she left Peak View Animal Hospital when she and her husband, Greg, gave birth to their first child, a son, David.

After spending some time off with her son, Jodie went to work for Bennett Veterinary Clinic in 2004. In 2006, Jodie again took time off from veterinary practice to spend time with her son and newborn daughter, Anna. She then started a small practice out of her home to service some of her loyal clients. Jodie began work ing at the Strasburg Veterinary Clinic in the spring of 2007. She is still currently employed atthe clinic, practicing veterinary medicine on a variety of species. Jodie’s ambition after leaving vet school was to practice in a rural mixed animal practice. She loves the rural lifestyle and the challenge of practicing veterinary medicine on different types of animals. Strasburg Veterinary Clinic provides Jodie with a great working environment, wonderful clients and unique and special patients. After eight years of being a veterinarian, Jodie still loves the animals and people that make up her profession. Jodie still gets enormous pleasure in practicing veterinary medicine. She gets great satisfaction in building relationships with her patients and their families.

Jodie currently lives in Bennett with her husband Greg and their two children, David and Anna. They have several animals that are included in their family. They have two dogs, Rex and Max, and a cat named Millie. Their outside pets include horses, cattle, rabbits and poultry.


Megan Gorden DVM

Dr. Megan joined Strasburg Veterinary Clinic at the beginning of June 2014. A CSU Alumni, Dr. Megan originally hails from Wisconsin, growing up in the lush green farm country near Lake Michigan, an area full of cows and mosquitoes. Prior to becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Megan obtained degrees in both music and nursing. Dr. Megan is actually a registered nurse as well as a vet. This gives her a unique and empathetic view in her treatment of animals and their owners. After vet school, Dr. Megan worked closely with a specialty vet in Fort Collins to gain additional experience with mobile practice, especially with camelids. When not working, Dr. Megan enjoys anything outdoors-camping, hiking and playing in the dirt. On the flip-side, Megan LOVES glitter. She also enjoys reading, biking and playing the piano.


Jennifer Raney DVM

Dr. Jen joined Strasburg Vet Clinic at the end of June 2014. Originally from Northern California, Dr. Jen obtained her Bachelor Degree in Animal Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2009, and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Dr. Jen spent her first year interning at Countryside Large Animal Veterinary Services in Greeley, acquiring extensive knowledge in Equine treatment. She is a member of AVMA and AAEP. During her spare time, Dr. Jen enjoys riding and driving her equine pals Mic and Jim, hiking and camping in the mountains with her four dogs, and spending time with her three sisters.


Luisa Taylor DVM

Dr. Luisa started with Strasburg Veterinary in July of 2014. Luisa comes from the Chama Valley in northern New Mexico. A Colorado State Alum, she received her Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2009, and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. After graduation, Dr. Luisa spent one year interning in Livestock Medicine and Surgery at Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine. In her free time, Dr. Luisa enjoys going to the mountains to hike, bike ride and camp. She is also an avid skier during the winter months.

Sarah Hallmark
Sarah joined Strasburg Veterinary Clinic in September of 2014. Sarah is a 2007 Community College of Denver Certified Veterinary Technician Graduate. Sarah also completed the Medical Massage for Animals course through Colorado State University in 2011. A native of Denver, Sarah enjoys working and training with her horses, and spending time with her family. Sarah is happy to live, work and be a part of the I-70 Corridor Community.


Beth Weisensee CVT
Beth has worked at the Strasburg Veterinary Clinic as a veterinary technician since August of 2009. A native of Deer Trail, Beth received her Associates of Arts at Northeastern Junior College and her Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology from Eastern Wyoming College. In her spare time, Beth enjoys reading, photography and camping.


Rene Kagen
Rene has been with the Strasburg Veterinary Clinic since May of 2003. Rene received her Certified Veterinary Technician education from Bel Rae Institute of Animal Technology in October of 1996. Rene, a native of Colorado, grew up in Denver and Lakewood. Rene and her family currently reside on the eastern corridor. In her free time, Rene operates a pet sitting business. When not working, she enjoys riding her horses, playing with her dogs, spending time with her family, and most importantly, spoiling her two baby granddaughters.


Lindsey Erker
Lindsey has been at Strasburg Veterinary Clinic since December of 2004. Lindsey received her Associates of Applied Sciences from the Bel-Rae Institute School of Veterinary Technology.Lindsey is a native of Colorado and grew up in Kiowa. In her free time, Lindsey loves to spend her time with her husband and her two active sons, shopping, scrap booking, hanging out with her two dogs Tonka and Dozer, working with cattle, and horseback riding. She is also a mom to a three-legged cat, and her hamster Hammy.


Courtney Winterroth
Courtney joined Strasburg Veterinary Clinic in January of 2012. Courtney received her Career Diploma in Veterinary Assistant and is currently working on her degree as a Veterinary Technician. She plans on acquiring her Veterinary Technician Certification upon completion of her degree. Courtney was born in Colorado and lived in 4 different states. She has now returned to Colorado and plans on making it her home. In her free time, Courtney enjoys running, spending time with her boyfriend and their two dogs. Courtney also enjoys the challenge of growing huge pumpkins in her garden.

Betty Friend
Betty has been with Strasburg Veterinary Clinic for several years. After retiring from Gates Rubber, Betty began a second career as a veterinary technician. She worked at Strasburg Veterinary Clinic from 2004 to 2014, and then returned to us in 2015. A Colorado native, Betty loves working with all types of animals. She provides foster service for many dogs while they wait to find a home, and has adopted many older displaced animals.



Bailey Griffith
Bailey, our newest technician, began working at Strasburg Veterinary Clinic after graduating from Bel Rea in December of 2015. Bailey became a Certified Technician in March of 2016. Born in Denver and raised in Nevada, Bailey is excited to make Colorado her home.

Mackenzie Virden
Mackenzie joined Strasburg Veterinary Clinic as a receptionist in August of 2014. Born in Rota, Spain, Mackenzie moved to Bennett in 2000. She is a 2014 Bennett High School graduate and completed her Associates Degree through Morgan Community College in May of 2015. She plans on pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in the near future. When not at work, Mackenzie loves to do anything that will get her outside-camping, riding horses, or riding four-wheelers. She also enjoys going to the movies with family and friends.

Nicole Avery
Niki has been with the Strasburg Veterinary Clinic since she began as a volunteer technician while high school. A native of Byers, Niki grew up helping her grandparents and parents raise and race greyhounds at Brumage Kennels. After graduating from Byers High School, Niki took a brief leave of absence to earn her Associates of Applied Science and start a family. Niki returned to work at the clinic as a receptionist in September of 2014. A mom of one very busy little boy, and expecting a little girl in the near future, Niki also takes care of 4 dogs, a herd of goats and a few cows.
